"What's past is prologue..."

Hello to our New Brunswick readers and to all of our friends elsewhere in the world! In this, the first official post of our first official season, I am happy to report that rehearsals for NBTF's inaugural production, Romeo and Juliet, began on the first of June. Countless hours of hard work put forth by an outstanding team of artists and the miraculous energetic-support of the New Brunswick community have gotten us far in the months and years leading up to this, and the production is shaping up to be something very special.

Our first two meetings with the Professional Company have been electrically charged. The Apprentice Company, comprised of students we met during our residency at New Brunswick High School this spring, will join us soon. They will without a doubt give us even more of a jolt in the coming weeks.

My name is Jennifer Ring. I am an actor and teaching artist with NBTF as well as a graduate of the MFA program at Rutgers University, and it will be my immense pleasure to introduce you in this blog to the other individuals who populate our festival. I think it is safe to speak for the group and say that we are all very excited to meet you.

Welcome!

Jen
